To record your iOS device on Mac OS X With QuickTime, simply
Connect your iOS device (iPhone/ iPad/iPod) to your Mac via a USB cable
Launch the QuickTime app in Mac OS X
When it launches, click on the File menu and then on New Movie Recording.
